Last week I braved the heat and traveled to New York City to attend an event to celebrate the launch of the Future Sounds My Connect Studio, the new collaborative partnership by Sony, Boomdizzle, and Dolby.
The result of the partnership? A slamming new Sony VAIO 14” E bundle that includes My Connect Studio software from Boomdizzle and high definition audio with Dolby Home Theater® Technology v4 and gorgeous headsets. All combined to allow you to connect and create music, among other things!

The first part of the event was a media conference on the top floor of the Sony headquarters at 550 Madison avenue. It was a full house that listened intently as Sony’s product manager Dave McFarland and LL Cool J talked about the problem that needed to be solved: collaboration.

Musicians or artists in one city trying to work with other artists or producers in another and the frustration of emailing and sending tapes, etc. My Connect Studio solves that problem by allowing people to collaborate together in reat-time.
Something that LL Cool J later demonstrated late when he went down to the Sony store and had one of his team located off-site play music mixed by someone at the other end and then he added vocals over it, he also played back the track, with the new words mixed in. To further prove his point he asked someone in the crowd to volunteer to come up and do the same. It was awesome!

On hand to keep the party going was invited guest DJ Grandmaster Flash who kept the crowd moving prior to LL Cool J showing up. The store was jammed packed and there was a lot of excitement about the new laptop.

The launch of the laptop bundle was not the only news of the day…LL Cool J and Sony announced a contest, the Future Sounds My Connect Studio launch promotion. Just enter a song and you will be entered for a chance win a trip to Los Angeles for a listening session with LL Cool J himself plus a Future Sounds bundle! Find out more details on the Boomdizzle website.
But why wait to get started, headed over to the Sony store and buy your laptop today!

Learn more about Dolby Home Theater® Technology v4.
Andi Fisher just might be slightly addicted to social media. By day she runs Dolby Laboratories social media program, by night she is a travel and food blogger who also happens to love film. When not in a cinema seeing a new release she is watching a movie every night on either her 5.1 or 7.1 home theater system.
