In Chasing Mavericks, we learned the story of Jay Moriarity, a surfer brave enough to ride some of the biggest waves in the world at Northern California’s Mavericks surf break. But before surfers can ride the waves, they need something to ride on. In this video, see one of the shapers who crafts surfboards by hand so that people like the characters in Chasing Mavericks can chase the perfect wave. (Great sound, too!)
